GiGiLogic has evaluated many Soft Core processors available such as LEON2, Open SPARC, Simply RISC, NIOS, Microblaze for its Validation Platform. Based on varies study and experiments, OpenRISC is chosen as a Processor for the FPGA based Validation Platform.

Its also means that we will be contributing for the future developments on the OpenRISC processor.

GiGi Logic demonstrated their OpenRISC based IP Validation Platform targetting Altera Devices. IP cores such as UART, SDRAM Controller, VGA Controller, PS2 Keyboard/Mouse Controllers were sucessfully validated using this platform.
